The Paraguayan striker has become out of favour at the Westfalenstadion and three Premier League sides are reportedly keen to offer him a way out of his situation
After an impressive first two seasons at Dortmund, the Paraguay international has struggled to make his mark in 2011-12, making just three starts for the Bundesliga champions in all competitions.
Barrios’ situation has caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, and it is now reported that Premier League trio Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland are keeping tabs on the 27-year-old.
Quizzed on the reports, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said: “We do not comment on speculation”.
It is believed that the Westfalenstadion outfit have put a price-tag of €10 million (£9m) on Barrios, who cost the club €4.2m (£3.6m) in 2009.
